We realise that your main reason for visiting us is to watch tennis, but there are plenty of other activites to be enjoyed during your visit:
Play Tennis
At the LTA’s Play Tennis Zone near Court 12, you can take part in activities including interactive tennis games and competitions to win prizes, or simply chat to friendly and knowledgeable LTA representatives about how to get more involved in British Tennis.
Fanzone
There is an opportunity to meet your favourite players in person at the Fanzone located just outside Aorangi Pavilion in the north of the Grounds. Every day one or two players visit the booth to meet fans and sign autographs. Appearances are announced on our Twitter page @Wimbledon.
Eating and Drinking
There are many restaurants, cafés and on-the-go eateries throughout the Grounds to suit all tastes and needs. More information on these can be found here.
Watching Tennis
When you are on the court, here are a few ‘dos and don’ts’:
- Switch off your mobile phones, tablets and other communication devices in the stands and around the courts, and keep any camera flashes suppressed
- Enter or leave a stand only at a change of ends and never during a tie-break
- Do not make a noise during a rally
- Never applaud a net cord or double fault
- Do not smoke around the courts
- Drinks can only be consumed from plastic or cardboard cups, only uncorked bottles are permitted on courts.
- Babes in arms and children under five are not permitted in any Show Court.
Ticket Resale
Subject to availability, returned Show Court tickets can be purchased daily not before 3pm, from the Ticket Resale kiosk north of Court 18 near the top of The Hill. Visitors who are unable to visit the Ticket Resale kiosk due to its location should speak to any Honorary Steward.
Centre Court tickets are priced at £15, while No.1 and No.2 Court tickets are available for £10. All proceeds are donated to charity via the Wimbledon Foundation.
Sculptures
There are a number of bespoke sculptures around the Grounds, the latest addition of which is the Alchemilla Sculpture at the top of St Mary’s Walk near Ticket Resale. This sculpture was created by internationally renowned sculptor William Pye, and was unveiled by HRH The Duke of Kent at The Championships 2016.
There is also a Fred Perry sculpture by David Wynne at the north-east corner of Centre Court, and at the front of the Clubhouse (south concourse) there are head and shoulder sculptures by Ian Rank-Broadley of the five British Ladies’ Singles Champions: Kitty Godfree, Dorothy Round, Angela Mortimer, Ann Jones and Virginia Wade.
