The All England Lawn Tennis Club (Championships) Limited is looking to recruit a Chief Medical Officer.
The All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) is one of the world's most prestigious tennis clubs and organises and stages The Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships. The AELTC has delivered substantial top-line growth in recent years and expects that growth to continue in conjunction with an ambitious investment programme in the years ahead, including the construction of a retractable roof over No.1 Court.
This role will form part of the wider Championships Operations Department, which is responsible for coordinating the delivery of the event from emergency planning to ordering the tennis balls. In addition to looking after up to 39,000 guests daily over 13 days of competition, the department also supports an army of back of house staff and contractors who all share a passion for excellence in service delivery.
The medical services cover those in support of the public and staff - SJA and the London Ambulance Service - as well as high performance orientated sports medicine practitioners.
Reporting to the Strategic Planning and Operations Director, you will be responsible for the coordination and quality assurance of service delivery for the Tournament, as well as the development of a framework of clinical governance, standards of care and standard operating procedures for the event and year-round operations. As Chief Medical Officer, you will be required to work every day during The Championships. You will also be required to work up to an additional 10 days during the rest of the year to support planning.
This role supports our goal of delivering the world's premier tennis tournament and one of the world's most prestigious tennis clubs.
