Wimbledon renews hospitality contracts

London, UK: The All England Club has awarded Keith Prowse and Sportsworld new five-year contracts to provide overseas tours and UK hospitality programmes at The Championships, Wimbledon, from 2013 onwards.

Widely regarded as a highlight in the sporting and social calendar, The Championships already sees thousands of guests from all over the globe entertained by Keith Prowse at The Wimbledon Experience and the new-look Gatsby Club, while Sportsworld covers primarily Asia, Australasia and also the UK.

Keith Prowse’s appointment continues to build on a close partnership with Wimbledon, which dates back to 1982, while Sportsworld is in its 20th successive year of delivering distinctive official Wimbledon hospitality experiences.

Mick Desmond, Commercial Director of the All England Club, said: “We are pleased to be continuing our hospitality partnerships with Keith Prowse and Sportsworld. We have worked with both organisations for many years, 30 years in the case of Keith Prowse and 20 years for Sportsworld, and in renewing both agreements we know we can be confident that guests and clients will continue to enjoy top quality service and a thoroughly enjoyable experience at The Championships.”

Andy Vinsen, Commercial Director for Keith Prowse said: “We are truly delighted to have been awarded the contract and we are looking forward to continuing our long and successful relationship with Wimbledon. We welcome this opportunity to continue to innovate, build and deliver world class hospitality and tours experiences expected by guests visiting the world’s premier tennis tournament.”

Sportsworld’s chief executive Chad Lion-Cachet commented: “We are exceptionally pleased to have been selected by the All England Club. Our partnership over the past two decades will stand us in good stead as we develop new markets and continue to provide the UK market with exceptional high end hospitality product.”
