Muller will face No.7 seed Marin Cilic in the quarter-finals after the Croatian romped past Roberto Bautista Agut 6-2, 6-2, 6-2, while men’s No.1 seed Andy Murray will meet Sam Querrey in the quarter-finals after the No.24 seed beat Kevin Anderson 5-7, 7-6(5), 6-3, 6-7(11), 6-3 to become the first American man to reach back-to-back Wimbledon quarter-finals since Andy Roddick in 2004-05.
British hopes remained afloat with Murray and ladies' No.6 seed Johanna Konta progressing. It marks the first time since 1973 a British man and woman has reached singles quarter-finals at Wimbledon.

Konta will meet No.2 seed Simona Halep for a place in her first Wimbledon semi-final. Halep finished strongly to see off former world No.1 Victoria Azarenka 7-6(3), 6-2.
Victory over Konta would see Halep become the new No.1 after last year’s finalist and top seed Angelique Kerber earlier went down to 2015 finalist, No.14 seed Garbiñe Muguruza. In the battle of Grand Slam champions the Spaniard prevailed 4-6, 6-2, 6-4.
Russian No.7 seed Svetlana Kuznetsova is next after she easily accounted for 2012 finalist Agnieszka Radwanksa 6-2, 6-4.
Slovak world No.87 Magdalena Rybarikova continued her impressive run to reach her first Grand Slam quarter-final on Monday. The 28-year-old, on the road back from knee and wrist surgeries, saw off fellow comeback queen Petra Martic, of Croatia, 6-4, 2-6, 6-3.

Top seeds Henri Kontinen and John Peers kept their bid for a second Grand Slam title of the season on track with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 win over Hugo Nys and Antonio Sancic while No.4 seeds Lukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo fought back from two sets down to post a 6-7(3), 4-6, 6-1, 6-4, 6-2 result over No.14 seeds Florin Mergea and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi.
No.2 ladies' doubles seeds Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina progressed to their third straight Wimbledon quarter-final together. The Russian tandem easily dismissed No.15 seeds Andreja Klepac and Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez 6-4, 6-4.
No.3 seeds Chan Yung-Jan and Martina Hingis were also impressive in their 6-2, 6-4 victory over No.13 seeds Kirsten Flipkens and Sania Mirza. Hingis and Mirza won Wimbledon together in 2015.
