Highlights from the interview rooms on Day 8 of The Championships...
Johanna Konta looks forward to her semi-final with Venus:
"I think what Venus and her sister have given our sport is absolutely tremendous. The way they've elevated women's tennis is truly inspiring. So I feel very excited and very humbled to be sharing the court with her again."
Garbiñe Muguruza reacts after reaching the last four at Wimbledon for a second time:
"It means a lot. You know, especially since that final, and last year losing in second round, to be able to go deep in the tournament still with chances. I'm very happy and very pleased because obviously Kuznetsova is a very tough opponent."
Venus Williams talks motivation and her love for the sport:
"That's why I put in the effort and the time. It's a beautiful game. It's not something that is stagnant. There's always a reason. You have to get better if you want to stay relevant."
Jelena Ostapenko's gives an honest assessment of Venus' quality:
"She was playing good today. She was serving well. It was very tough to break. She's a great player. She started the match good. She made a lot of aces."
Magdalena Rybarikova explains the origins of the variety to her game:
"I was very playful. I like all the sports with a ball. When I was in the kindergarten, I was always playing something with the balls. So it's the way I play."
Simona Halep congratulates new world No.1 Karolina Pliskova:
"I feel she deserves to be there. She has the best serve, I think, after Serena. So well done to her. She played really well this year. I think she's happy now."

CoCo Vandeweghe comes to terms with her quarter-final defeat:
"Grand Slams are the hardest tournaments. They're over two weeks and you have to play well for two weeks."
Virginia Wade reacts to Konta's quarter-final win over Simona Halep:
"She had a tougher mind and she was more aggressive and she deserved to win... it was brilliant, a brilliant performance. I know how much pressure there is. I’m very, very happy for her."
...and Virginia hopes 'JoKo' can avoid the spotlight ahead of Thursday's semi-final with Venus:
"[I hope she] relaxes by doing her baking and I hope she manages to cocoon herself a little bit tomorrow, but that’s some hope because everyone will be after her!"
