This project sought to capture aspects of what goes on behind the scenes at Wimbledon, the things that happen year round, not just during the Championships.
Visual artist Sally Booth was engaged to work with students from Merton Abbey Primary School and St. Cecilia’s Secondary School, as well as senior citizens who use the Wimbledon Guild Day Care Centre.
Sally Booth uses unusual materials and techniques in her art, both these elements played a large part in this project and participants were given able to work in a familiar medium in an unfamiliar way.
